"Cardboard boxes have always been in my life. I've never been bothered by its existence. Sometimes it was a commodity; like coffee table, shelf, sometimes I put clothes in it etc. It helped me a lot when I was teaching. I liked the graphic representations on it (vertical arrow, glass, umbrella, etc.). I wanted to paint it and to satisfy my inner Rothco."
